The Morning Roundup
Happy Monday! Messing around with a name change to this post series as I have not been punctual of late to either the Monday or morning part of the roundup 😳 - still aiming for Mondays but based on when news and things drop I may end up doing this just beginning of the week - Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday kind of thing.
We had our first big family outing this weekend in a loooong long time, by attending one of the last days of Disneyland’s “A Touch of Disney” food event! It was a little more crowded than we’d been primed to expect, but overall we had a really good time and it was nice to experience some semblance of a normal activity for us from the “before times” though I didn’t end up getting my traditional Disney snack - Dole Whip! - because the mobile order return window was like 3 hours later and we just didn’t feel like being beholden to going back to the back corner of the park that much later in the evening (the rest of the mobile orders we placed had a ~20 minute return window, so big difference!) The event is over as of today, as they gear up to reopen the parks, but I might do a little trip recap anyway with the few pics I have.
Speaking of Disneyland, last week I did a huge Disneyland Reopening post now that tickets are on sale again! Covering everything ticket sales/theme park reservations/attractions/entertainment/food if you’re looking to visit the parks again too after they reopen on April 30.
I have been really bad about reading lately, but Oh Joy’s post of her latest stack has me inspired! A lot of these are now on my list to dive into.
Earth Day is this Thursday and Disney has some fun activities popping up in the My Disney Experience & Play Disney Parks apps for the occasion.
Please tell me that last year’s tie die trend is still around because I already purchased this matching set (sweatshirt, pants) and it’s so comfy! I’m a sucker for anything with retro Disney Parks logos on it.
I’ve been doing a wardrobe refresh in general (yay, birthdays!) and got this super great washable satin PJ set too (top, bottoms)
Meanwhile Katie hit a growth spurt so we’re just doing a whole family jammie refresh! I love the Disney PJ Pals, so I just got these Snow White ones again in the next size up
Did you know the effect of vaccines on menstrual cycles is rarely included in studies? It’s kind of crazy that there hasn’t been enough people at the top before to see the value in this before, but it’s being talked about now with COVID, and this is a great article on what they have learned. There’s also a link at the end to participate in a survey if you have gotten the vaccine already (either one or two doses) so that you can be a part of helping gather this kind of important data!
