All you need to know about Disney’s upcoming cruise ship, the Disney Believe
Friends, we got SO MANY updates about DIsney Cruise Line’s final ship in the Wish class, the Disney Believe, last week! I’m sharing as much as I can below so you can learn all about this ship and see if it’s a good fit for you & your family/you & your best friends/you, on a relaxing solo trip at sea. Especially because the time to book a sailing on this ship is now! New ships are incredibly popular and sailings book fast. So let’s get to the good stuff!
THE QUICK HITS:
The inaugural sailing is December 18, 2027 and the Disney Believe will be based out of Fort Lauderdale/Port Everglades
Bookings open as soon as October 12, 2026 for Castaway Club members (that’s TODAY as of this posting) with bookings open to the general public on October 19, 2026
Itineraries are 4 & 5 night cruises to the Bahamas and the Caribbean, and include stops at one or both of Disney’s private islands - Castaway Cay and Lighthouse Point at Lookout Cay
Icons of this ship: Tinker Bell on the bow, Woody & Buzz on the stern, and a Moana-themed Grand Hall.
THE FUN DETAILS:
The Grand Hall
Embracing the spirit of exploration and the power of nature, the Grand Hall incorporates influences from Moana’s Pacific Islands setting and design elements inspired by the sea itself. The carpet has bioluminescent colors and the chandelier is modeled after the sea’s fluid movement and includes the heart of Te Fiti! The statue of Moana also includes her companions Pua and HeiHei. This area looks absolutely gorgeous and I can’t wait to see it in person.
Entertainment
One of the most exciting announcements last week was that Encanto will be getting its stage show debut on the Disney Believe! I can’t wait to see how they bring Casita to life.
Also on the Disney Believe are 2 other shows:
“Tangled: The Musical” from the Disney Magic, with reimagined set design and special effects that will be exclusive to this new ship.
And “Disney Seas the Adventure,” an original show for the Wish class ships.
Rotational Dining
*NEW* Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast — This is a brand-new, untold chapter of the “Frozen” story, and features Oaken, Anna and Kristoff, set in a sommerhaus courtyard.
1923 — Aboard all Wish class ships, this restaurant celebrates Disney animation
Worlds of Marvel — Also aboard all Wish class ships, though guests will experience “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix” while dining.
Other Notable Dining Onboard
*2 NEW* cafes (yay!) featuring an array of coffee, teas and specialty beverages, with some super-cute theming:
Big Hero Sips - a warm and inviting coffee shop inspired by San Fransokyo
Café Kakamora - named after the pirate-esque coconut creatures of Moana, this cafe is inspired by the island of Motunui.
Inside Out: Joyful Sweets sweet shoppe incorporates the new emotions we met in Inside Out 2.
At Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods on the upper decks there will be a *NEW* location exclusively on the Disney Believe - Pluto’s Pita Platters featuring Mediterranean fare.
Adult-Exclusive Options
There are some really exciting themed spaces coming to the Disney Believe for adults to enjoy:
Sea Notes - a piano lounge inspired by The Little Mermaid. Not only is anything Ariel very fitting for a cruise vacation, but Little Mermaid is my favorite animated film, so I am very biased in launching this to the top of my must-see list. Plus, check out the super fun specialty drink for this lounge that comes *in a seashell*
Wishing Well - this centrally located open lounge space is inspired by Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and includes 3 unique locations from the movie in its design.
Skygazers - this unique observatory-themed pub is ALSO very high on my list based on the design aesthetic alone. I love astronomy, and seeing this space dedicated to dreamers and wish-makers and Disney characters incorporated in celestial fashion sounds gorgeous. Plus, we got a peek at another fun themed drink for this location during the livestream presentation event.
Also returning to the Disney Believe is the Haunted Mansion Parlor. Additional adult-exclusive venues will include Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud and The Rose.
Kids and Family Spaces
Disney’s Oceaneers Club, the exclusive kids club for kids aged 3 to 10, will be experiencing a “2319” on the Disney Believe, with the club entrance themed to Pixar’s Monsters Inc.
Additionally, the Disney Believe will feature It’s a Small World Nursery for little cruisers aged 6 months to 3 years old, Edge For tweens ages 11 to 13, Vibe, teens ages 14 to 17 and The Hideaway for older kids.
We also have to talk about Gazelle! Guests will try anything at this entertainment hub inspired by the Zootopia films.*By day* this location will be home to a variety of fun for families, such as trivia, games and immersive character encounters, but at night, the space flips to adult-exclusive entertainment, silent discos and variety acts.
The Rooms
Last but certainly not least, we have to see staterooms! Staterooms feature a gorgeous all-new papercut style artwork throughout and showcase a number of beloved films:
Additionally, the concierge lounge will be themed to Alice in Wonderland, featuring a private sun deck and complimentary food and beverage offerings.
The tower suite is obviously going to be a stunner, but I particularly love the chandelier that looks like fireworks!
