Good morning & happy February!

We had rain in LA on Friday - it was a nice change of pace, and was a much needed help for our baby naval orange tree that looks like it is just about to bloom (!) I used nap time to run around the back yard in the drizzle in a pretty dress because I was feeling like not all down time needs to be used productively, and it was a creative release I haven’t had in a while! And then I used nap time yesterday to do a massive de-clutter and deep clean of our bathroom because life is all about balance :)

Today is the start of Black History Month! My friend Erika did a post of 10 Disney movies celebrating Black American history and culture (most of which are on Disney+) She wrote this last year, so it doesn’t include Pixar’s Soul, but definitely add that to your watch list as well!

I’m a sucker for cute collectible plush (I blame this on being raised in the beanie baby era 😅) - Disney’s new line of nuiMOs is right up my ally! The design of the dolls is super appealing (look how cute Minnie is! And they have magnets in their hands to hold onto things.) Some of the clothes are really fun too - this retro Star Wars design and Rapunzel Disneybound outfit are super cute.

This new children’s book about Chinese-born American artist Tyrus Wong looks lovely! Tyrus is best known as one of the lead designers for Disney’s Bambi.

This Retro Disneyland nursery makes me want to add a monorail mural to Katie’s room, stat!

I honestly wear very little makeup in this pandemic quarantine phase of life, but I love this new-to-me clean mascara by ILIA
