Good morning, friends! We spent the majority of our weekend watching Bluey (K’s favorite show right now) and getting the majority of our kitchen exhaust fan project finished - it’s looking so much better now, and we just need to get one more piece of duct & have an electrician come do some minor re-wiring before we can use it finally! I’ll share some before & afters once it’s 100% done.

Time has felt extra soup-y for me lately - without get up and go events to mark time, I’ve been feeling like I blink and two days have gone by. There are a lot of experts feeling optimistic that we’re past the “surge” eras of the pandemic though and getting some sense of normalcy back is on the horizon given the combo of a drastic decrease in cases in the last month and the increase in vaccine distributions.

While the situation in Texas improved a little bit at the tail end of last week as cities were able to start restoring power, there is still a lot of help needed to get out of this crisis. Here’s a good roundup of ways to help, and this fundraiser is splitting donations among 7 great charities throughout Texas.

I’m finally refreshing my workout wardrobe, and jumping on the Girlfriend Collective train. Starting by trying out the Lou and Simone bras, but let me know if you have other recs!

Walt Disney Animation Studios’ latest film “Raya and the Last Dragon” releases in theaters and on Disney+ (with premier access) March 5th, and the ShopDisney instagram page posted a great how to draw tutorial of Raya’s sidekick Tuk Tuk! If you’re going to be visiting Walt Disney World, starting today (Feb 22) they’ll be adding characters from Raya, including Tuk Tuk, to the Animation Experience at the Conversation Station in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Loving this simplistic Kilimanjaro Safaris inspired sweatshirt

This fun website lets you recreate a bar atmosphere, if you’re missing going out with friends or like having real world ambient noise on while you do other work.

The Bowers Museum in Orange County (CA) just extended their Inside the Walt Disney Archives exhibit through April 25th, and while the museum is still closed due to Covid, you can view a lot of the items in the exhibit virtually on their website.

This week Walt Disney World shared some first looks at what their 50th Anniversary celebration will look like when it kicks off October 1st. The enhanced lighting on the park icons at night looks great in the concept renderings, and I’m really loving Minnie’s new dress! It’s unclear right now what else will be announced as part of the fun (ie will we be in a place yet where they can safely launch a new fireworks show or parade?) but with the celebration running until roughly April 2023 I’m hopeful we’ll get to experience it in person at some point.
